02.09.2010. Year, type of boats and Protocol rules for 34th America’s Cup will be unveiled September 13th.
Organizers for the 34th America’s Cup will host a press conference in Valencia at 15:00 (Moscow Time) on September 13 to reveal three of the four cornerstones of the next competition. They will unveil: 1) when it will be held; 2) type of boats for the competition; 3) the competition rules (The Protocol).
Negotiations over the host city venue – the fourth cornerstone – continue, but organizers are confident that they will make an announcement ahead of the December 31 objective.
The Protocol is now finalized and will be formally signed by the defending Golden Gate Yacht Club and the Challenger of Record, Club Nautico di Roma, in a live-streamed ceremony on the official America’s Cup web site www.americascup.com.

30.08.2010. Synergy Youth Team captured second place at the Knickerbocker Cup 2010 regatta that was held from 25 to 29 August in USA.
Synergy (Evgeny Neugodnikov is a helmsman) did well in Round Robin, won nine races out of 11 and then beat US Team 7 Racing in the knockout stage – 3:2.
In the end Synergy Youth Team grabbed second place, and Waka Racing from New Zealand with Phil Robertson as a helmsman won the regatta.

29.08.2010. Synergy Russian Sailing Team showed a good performance on Sunday and stole sixth place at Caja Mediterráneo Region of Murcia Trophy.
Fourth Audi MedCup’s event of the year is over. Emirates Team New Zealand won the regatta in Cartagena for second time in a row.
On Sunday three races in TP52 were held and Synergy improved its position in the regatta’s and overall TP52 class’ standings. The Russian crew sailed well in the last two races of the event scoring second and fourth places. That helped Synergy to climb to sixth position at Caja Mediterráneo Region of Murcia Trophy.
And Synergy moved from 8th to 6th place in Audi MedCup-2010 classification in TP52 class. Before the last regatta of the year that will take place in Cagliari from 20 to 25 September Synergy has a 3-point advantage over Audi A1-ALL4ONE.

28.08.2010. The organizers of Audi MedCup’s penultimate event of the year were able to stage two races today – windward-leeward and coastal. Synergy was 7th in both and saved 8th position overall in regatta’s TP52 standings.
The first race of the day was windward-leeward. Synergy started slowly but then the Russian Team recovered, gained a couple of positions and finished at 7th place. Emirates Team New Zealand triumphed in this one and started a very good day for themselves.
Then the organizers staged coastal race. The wind speed was about 15-22 knots, and these conditions suited well for ETNZ. And it was a roller-coaster for Synergy. The Russians lead at the first mark, then moved to 9th place and recovered to finish at 7th. Emirates Team New Zealand won the coastal and re-establish as the regatta’s leader.
Tomorrow it’s three races planned. Sunday is the last day of the event. Synergy still holds 8th place in regatta’s classification and has a good chance to move up a little bit.

27.08.2010. Synergy Russian Sailing Team haven’t got a good day at Audi MedCup’s event in Cartagena and after Friday’s action the Team holds eighth place overall in TP52 class.
In the first race of the day Synergy had some technical difficulties and started at the last place. But then the crew did a good job and climbed to 7th position. Matador won this competition and moved to the first place after TeamOrigin failed to hold a lead on the last run.
Then in the second race Bribon triumphed and Synergy received a penalty from race officers on the first run and was forced to round. That penalty moved the Russians back and they ended the race at the last place. British side TeamOrigin came second and re-established the lead.
The very last race of Friday was really close for Synergy. The winner TeamOrigin had a big lead and the Russian team competed for position and points. Synergy did well and finished at sixth place ahead of Quantum Racing and Matador. The Russian team has 35 points and holds 8th position overall in the regatta’s standings.

26.08.2010. Racing was postponed in Cartagena today due to shifty and light conditions. The action at Caja Mediterráneo Region of Murcia Trophy will continue tomorrow.
There was a plenty of wind yesterday in Cartagena, but the weather wasn’t good enough for sailing on Thursday. The organizers weren’t able to stage any races because wind’s speed was just around 4-5 knots.
Tomorrow there will not be a coastal race for TP52 fleet. Instead of the coastal MedCup’s organizers decided to stage windward-leeward races. Synergy Russian Sailing Team still holds 5th place overall in TP52 class at the penultimate event of the Audi MedCup-2010. The Russian crew is just 7 points behind current leader TeamOrigin.

25.08.2010. Synergy Russian Sailing Team captured third place in the second race of the day at penultimate event of Audi MedCup-2010. Synergy holds 5th place in TP52 standings after Wednesday’s action.
In the first race of the Caja Mediterraneo Region of Murcia Trophy Synergy started well but received a penalty in tactical battle on the first mark. The Russians rounded and moved to the last place. But Synergy was able to come back and got 8th position at the finish.
Second race of the day went good for Synergy. The Russian Team fought for a victory for three of four stages but at the last run Synergy was overtaken by the defending champions Emirates Team New Zealand. The Russians captured 3rd place and they found themselves at 5th position in overall standings of the event.

24.08.2010. Synergy Russian Sailing Team finishes TP52 official practice race in Cartagena at sixth place.
Fourth Audi MedCup event of the year got under way. TP52 official practice race was held on Tuesday. Swedish team Artemis won it, Bigamist 7 came second and the defending champion Emirates Team New Zealand third. Synergy Russian Sailing Team captured 6th place and lost 02:12 to the leader at the finish line.
Races in Cartagena will start on Wednesday. The organizers plan to stage 11 races until Sunday. You can watch the action live at series’ official web-site or at Synergy’s official web-site.

24.08.2010. Fourth Audi MedCup’s regatta of the year starts in Cartagena today. TP52 fleet, including Synergy Russian Sailing Team, is going to have an official practice race.
On Wednesday TP52 teams will start racing and they will fight for Caja Mediterreneo Region of Murcia Trophy until Sunday, August 29. The forecast for this week promises 11-12 knots for the wind. The organizers plan to stage 11 races, including the coastal on Friday. You can follow the action at series’ web-site and at Synergy’s official web-site.
Emirates Team New Zealand leads in overall after three events. Quantum and Artemis follow Kiwis. Synergy Russian Sailing Team holds 8th place overall in TP52 standings and still has nice chances to go up.

22.08.2010. Synergy Youth Team won Maritim Baltic Match Race in Helsinki and captured third overall place in Baltic Match Tour series that was held from 13 to 21 August in Sweden, Estonia and Finland.
The Russian crew triumphed in the capital of Finland (regatta took place from 19 to 21 August) by winning all races, including big win against Peter Wibroe's team. This achievement helped Synergy Youth Team (Evgeny Neugodnikov is a helmsman) to steal 3rd overall place in 9-day series' standings.
International yachtsmen competed for the trophy from 13 to 21 August at three venues: Stockholm, Tallinn and Helsinki. The winner of Baltic Match Tour 2010 is Peter Wibroe. GILL GLOBAL TEAM is second. And Synergy Youth Team grabbed third place.
The next regatta for the Russians is Knickerbocker Cup 2010. It'll take place in the USA from 25 to 29 August.
