23.07.2010. Synergy Russian Sailing Team captured second place in the fourth race of Camper Regatta - Conde de Godo Trophy - Barcelona.
The Russian crew was solid during the first race of the day and successfully fought against TeamOrigin which tried to overtake Synergy. British team failed to do so and Synergy got 2 points. The Russians lost by 33 seconds to Emirates Team New Zealand. The race was packed with false starts. Bigamist, Matador and Artemis were forced to re-start.
Then Quantum won two races in a row. The Americans took their chances after scoring the worst result of the season in the very first race of Friday (11th place). Synergy was reliable in the following races. The Russian crew was seventh and eighth in races number 5 and 6 of the regatta. This enabled Synergy to take seventh place overall in TP52 class in Barcelona.

22.07.2010. The Camper Regatta - Conde de Godó Trophy – Barcelona begins with a very nice wind on Thursday. Three races were held and Synergy Russian Sailing Team has 22 points and holds eights place with Matador.
The third stage of Audi MedCup-2010 officially started today as the wind was up to 15 knots. Synergy grabbed sixth, tenth and sixth places in respective races and scored 22 points.
In first race the Russian team started quite well but was at 8th place on the first mark. Then the crew made a big push and finished 6th. The winner was Emirates Team New Zealand.
Second race went awful for Synergy. The Russians were doing well in the first half of the course but made a mistake in a very tough fight against opponents. The umpires called penalty, so Synergy were forced to turn around. The team finished second to last, and Cristabella won the race.
In the very last race of the day Luna Rossa won sensationally after scoring 20 points in two races before. And Cristabella collapsed and finished last. Synergy was stable and captured 6th place once again. The organizers hope to stage seven races during three day span including coastal one.

21.07.2010. Racing at Camper Regatta – Conde de Godo Trophy – Barcelona was postponed for Wednesday due to very light winds.
There was no action in TP52 class of Audi MedCup-2010 Circuit today in Barcelona. Synergy Russian Sailing Team as well as other 10 TP52 teams couldn't compete because of unsuitable conditions. The forecast for Thursday is optimistic. The wind will be 15 knots in the morning, so the organizers plan to stage three races.

20.07.2010. Synergy Russian Sailing Team captured sixth place in official practice race at Camper Regatta Conte de Godo Trophy Barcelona.
France-German Audi A1-ALL4ONE won this race and Emirates Team New Zealand and TeamOrigin didn't finish at all. The difference between Synergy and leader Audi A1 was only 61 seconds. Races in TP52 will start tomorrow. The organizers will try to stage 12 races during the third event of Audi MedCup-2010 Circuit from Wednesday to Sunday.

18.07.2010. Synergy Youth Team wins “Seven Feet Cup” regatta in Vladivostok.
Finals were held on Sunday. Japanese sportsman Wataru Sakamoto beat Farokh Tarapor of India and grabbed third place. After that match Synergy Youth Team (Evgeny Neugodnikov is a helmsman) captured a win in the finale against Italian Simone Ferrarese’s squad. The Russian crew went undefeated in 17 races in Vladivostok and became the champion of “Seven Feet Cup” regatta.

14.07.2010. The Camper Regatta – Conde de Godó Trophy – Barcelona starts in a week. TP52 class competition will include 11 boats.
Barcelona is ready to host the third stage of Audi MedCup-2010 Circuit, named The Camper Regatta – Conde de Godó Trophy – Barcelona, from 20 to 25 July. Synergy Russian Sailing Team will fight for a victory in TP52 class. This class will consist of 11 boats: Bigamist 7 from Portugal returns to the competition after missing Marseille Trophy. The Russian boat holds sixth place overall after two events and has 99,5 points.
Nobody awaits strong wind in this time of the year in Catalonia, but the organizers expect 10 breathtaking races, including a coastal one on Friday, 23 July.

11.07.2010. San Francisco is a sole USA city-candidate to host 34th America’s Cup.
Defending champion BMW Oracle Racing and Golden Gate Yacht Club represent the city which has a big time sailing history. The 34th America’s Cup is scheduled for 2013 or 2014.
“Our team has said from the outset that San Francisco and the Bay Area have the potential to provide a superb stage on which to host a memorable America’s Cup,” said Russell Coutts, CEO of BMW ORACLE Racing. “Our team owner, Larry Ellison, has called the Bay a fantastic natural amphitheatre.”
San Francisco’s Mayor Gavin Newsom said, “We are very honored to lead a national effort to host the 34th America’s Cup. Larry Ellison has a transformative vision for hosting the Cup on San Francisco Bay, and we are prepared to leverage the nation’s support to make this a coast-to-coast campaign and to realize that vision.”
Except San Francisco there were Newport, San Diego and Long Beach which wanted to be the candidate but these cities fell short. Strong interest from four European countries is also being studied by the Defender. The host city will be chosen by the end of the year.

10.07.2010. Third stage of the Audi MedCup-2010 Circuit will take place in Barcelona from 20 to 25 July and the Catalan wind Gabri is expected to blow at full speed.
Gabri blows almost parallel to coast off the race area and that does tend to produce more pressure close to the shore, so the fleets will fight for the right side of the race course on the first beat and that will provide exciting racing. The speed of this wind is variable – from 13 to 18 knots.
Synergy Russian Sailing Team holds sixth overall position with 99,5 points after two events. The Russian crew will start Camper Regatta – Conde de Godó Trophy – Barcelona with TP52 practice race on 20 July.

After the Marseille Trophy five teams (Luna Rossa, Emirates Team New Zealand, Quantum Racing, Cristabella and TeamOrigin) that participate in Audi MedCup-2010 Circuit have chosen Valencia to continue their preparation for third stage of the series, Camper Regata - Conde de Godó Trophy – Barcelona. It will take place in the capital of Catalonia from 20 to 25 July.
